In a world far away, in a distant time (harukanaru toki no naka de)... It is said that the capital city, Kyou, was sacred and impenetrable, protected by four guardian gods: Seiryuu, the Blue Dragon of the East; Suzaku, the Red Phoenix of the South; Byakko, the White Tiger of the West; Genbu, the Black Tortoise of the North. -- and the one god who presided over them all: Ryuujin, the White Dragon. There may come a time when it seems that the gods have abandoned their watch. Chaos, suffering, and despair will cover the earth in darkness. But, it is said, though all seems lost, Ryuujin no Miko shall appear from another world.
